When you think of Jupiter think of expansion, larger than life, big, generous, more is better, adventurous–to name a few. Jupiter energy expands everything. It doesn’t really care if there’s anything of real solidity backing it up. It brings a certain confidence and of being overly inflated of oneself. They believe sky’s the limit and many times they fall short. They're always seeking for the truth. What is the truth? They’re looking for a belief system. Is there is a God? Jupiter energy can become moralistic, judgmental, holier than thou. When you are analyzing Jupiter by sign, in a house, or any planet it is aspecting, bear in mind that Jupiter will exaggerate the tendencies which already exist. Jupiter goes together with the word lucky. It brings luck, a kind of guardian Angel effect. Here is where the universe is encouraging you to indulge yourself. Learn and experience everything you can about these things. Understand, if you really get carried away, there's no guarantee that you'll walk away unscared. However, reaping the consequences of irresponsible behavior is often the best teacher there is. Jupiter is also known as a guru. It could also mean that you have wisdom of your own to share with others. Jupiter by sign is how one might exaggerate these sign traits. By house is where you want to expand and explore, where you’d like to indulge yourself, where you have faith, or where you might have some luck, or where there is an abundance. Jupiter also represents ideas about God, wealth, wisdom, the higher mind, moral codes and ethics, spiritual experiences. The energy is also philanthropist, pompous, mercy, charitable, expanded boundaries, growth. It brings in experiences of where you may feel optimism, wisdom, expansion (as I had mentioned), adventure, opportunities, possibilities might be opening up. So, as the Sun represents our inner truth, our essential nature. So, Jupiter takes that essence and expands it as you put it out into the world. This enables one to see what to do with your truth, with our truth, vision, or path. So, Jupiter shows Mars what to do. So, Jupiter is the energy that is matched up with Sagittarius in the 9th house. The Sagittarius energy is the same. It is a highly intelligent sign, philosophical, and is a teacher - always going out there and gaining the wisdom. The problem, again, is that it's so expansive. It's like looking up from the top of a mountain to everything and sees all the possibilities, but many times that energy gets too focused on the expansion, and they overlook the little details. Jupiter is cold and can also be dry or damp depending on one's unique constitution. Because Jupiter is a planet of growth and expansion, and abundance, and prosperity, a Jupiter's body type is generally of a larger frame and build. These have a tendency towards weight gain and obesity. Now, the Sagittarius build is more athletic and firey. Jupiter rules the liver and any fat production in general. And because of its connection with Sagittarius, it also has to do with the arteries and circulation. It is also together in a team with Sun and Mars. So, these three dynamic, masculine planets govern the constant movement relation of the blood. If you see anything affecting a person in regards with food or alcoholic drinks, we become focused on taking a look at the liver and how is Jupiter affecting the liver. Also, because Jupiter is always seeking for that connection with something higher-- with the truth-- always trying to seek the ultimate truth, many times they might be more prone to have excess alcohol, drugs, medicine or any other things that they can use to escape from reality. Also, many more with the Jupiter energy might prefer to eat more fatty foods, greasy, sweet foods, and might not be able to contain themselves because that energy of Jupiter that is just so expansive. With these kinds of actions, these can lead to congestions in our digestive system which affect the liver, the blood and ultimately the heart. That is how we see the relationship between the Mars, the Sun and Jupiter. We also see that Jupiter has a relationship to the lymphatic system as well and a little bit with the kidneys. Many of today’s damp/stagnation diseases range from cancer, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and strokes. As far as our outlook in life and moods, it is being in a mindset of having a joyous spirit, hopeful, deep faith, feel connected with your goals and inspiration, you feel like you are expanding and seeking growth, pushing your boundaries, you're optimistic, enthusiastic, you're positive, and you see the bigger picture. Lastly, I’d like to give a few examples of some Jupiter plants. We have Dandelion, Great Calendine, Turmeric (also goes together with Mars), Golden Seal, Lemon Balm, and Fennel (also goes with Mercury). Thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about Jupiter and the energy that Jupiter brings into your life.
