URANUS Energy - Astrology

Uranus is considered to be a higher objective than Mercury. By sign it is how your generation upsets tradition or how your generation is progressive. By house, it is where you take an unusual approach, get flashes of insight, where you might be a little genius, where you experience sudden and unexpected events, where you can be rebellious, or where you want independence. Uranus also represents sudden awakenings, science and technology, invention, telepathy, airplanes, air travel, computers, astrology, the future, to name a few. The energy is shocking, bizarre, perversion, unconventional, electric, ingenious, unstable, pioneering, to name a few. Just when you think you've been there and done that, then you enter Uranus. This is the planet of speed, rebellion, being different and anything that's unusual. Uranus is here to question authority, to change our outworn traditions. Its function is progressive and often manifests splashes of sudden insight. If you’re feeling bored, Uranus will shake it up for you. If you're feeling stuck, Uranus offers breakthroughs and ingenious, new ideas. Uranus will shock you, rock you and take you on for the ride of your life. You may scream in terror, but Uranus keeps on moving; and Uranus will not let you forget you are the passenger. Uranus is about freedom, independence, and self-sufficiency. It does not like to function under anyone else's rules and regulations, especially those that stand in the way of progress. Uranus stands for the will of others. Although it’s kind of like a contradiction that Uranus does their own thing but at the same time it's in agreement with a group that they came in with. Uranus helps you move towards some kind of unity for mankind, a mutual goal. Uranus represents sudden and abrupt events, those that can come out of nowhere and catch you totally unprepared. They’re often very bizarre circumstances. So, whereas Saturn can be seen as the ruler of the earth, Uranus is the ruler of the heavens. Again, the energy of the planet is kind of like a lightning bolt. It drags you down and it's shocking, you don't expect it and it shakes you up. It’s pure force and it unlocks some energy. Being such a rebellious planet, we can see this since Uranus spins on its axis. In fact, it rolls sideways. It's already exhibiting a unique and individual nature. Uranus helps us find who and what we should be and find out who we truly are. I'll read the quote from Sajha Popham from the School of Herbalism, “Hence, Uranus corresponds strongly to the concept of freedom, independence, and revolution. It was individuals standing up fighting for their freedom, crying out to live their lives as judged by their own internal virtue. In this way America itself is a very Uranian country with strong defining values being freedom and independence.” Uranus represents the spark of will, forward thinker. All these aspects strongly correspond to the 11th sign of the zodiac, Aquarius. Aquarius is also considered to be the weirdest sign of the zodiac, the rebel, going against the grain. Just like Aquarius, Uranus brings in a new vision for humanity and something that is for service, for everyone. In a medical perspective, Uranus governs the electrical system, nervous system and brain, and you can see a similarity to Mercury. That is why it is said to be an octave higher than Mercury. Some things you might notice if you have Uranus strongly placed in your health chart would be a degree of nervousness, tension, cramping, spasm, anxiety, and just overall excess electrifying force. Because this is a planet of extremes, it could create symptoms that show up randomly. Also, because the Uranian energy comes like a lightning bolt, it can either be a good thing and give somebody a lot of energy, or it could short circuit. If you have a short circuit, it could mean that you become erratic, scattered, just have too much energy and can’t handle it. So, you want to try to harness this energy and put it towards a positive direction, find an outlet. As far as having Uranus help one find their real self, it's going to break you down. You're going to feel broken down until the inner truth is revealed.
